i have been wanting to find a little something for naomi's stocking this year, but i wanted it to be really unique & special because it is her first christmas!! i came across this kit in hobby lobby & it looked PERFECT! not only does it have a recordable sound module that allows me to put my own special message in it, it is also grey & white {the colors of her nursery}, & i get to sew it...well, sew part of it.
apparently "amigurumi" {pronounced ah-mee-goo-ROO-mee} is the japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed animals and life-like creatures and characters...according to the box.
i really wish i knew how to knit and crochet, but that is a future task to conquer! so in the mean time, this little kit was perfect! you just stuff with fiberfill, sew the edges, and then the arms, legs, and ears.

ta-da!!! now....let's see if she likes it!

she seems to be warming up to her!
she likes her new stuffed friend!!! yay!!!
oh and i know i said this was a "stocking stuffer," but i couldn't resist letting her play with it a few days early....good thing she doesn't remember presents yet.
