merry & bright

It's almost Christmas and i am so excited to see friends and family! some of my family has not gotten to meet naomi yet so that brings an extra excitement! but, before we head west for christmas, here are a few of my favorite cheery festive decorations around my home!

my most favorite!!

my first "hand-stitched" ornament! i keep seeing these monogrammed ornaments everywhere and i wanted to try to make one myself! i was pretty pleased with the outcome!

here is the back...i still have a ways to go in the letter stitching department

here is another DIY christmas decoration! it is so easy! even the flowers are just fabric twisted around and around and then hot glued together! i love this wreathe because it is christmasy, but it is also neutral enough to be left out year around!

these snowflake ornaments are so special to me. my grandmother crocheted them for me. i always think of her every time i hang them on the tree. they are all different and she me made about 20 of them! i actually just picked up a crochet book at hobby lobby in hopes of learning!

and this is my crazy never-ending project: a felt stocking for naomi. i was all excited and wanted to have it up for her first christmas, but as soon as i opened it and looked at all of the pieces, i became overwhelmed.

this is as far as i have gotten. hopefully next year, naomi

last but not least, my favorite edible christmas item--hot chocolate! Complete with a candy cane {to give it that peppermint kick}, whip cream, and chocolate chips :) mmMmmm

Merry Christmas!!!
