we ended up making a weekend out of valentine's day and it was sooo much fun!
i decided to make a few goodies for mr. p to surprise him. i always get him gifts, but he seems to like it when i do things for him even better sooo.....in honor of his love for oatmeal, here is my first attempt at oatmeal sugar cookies!
they were a success!! i can't stop eating them! they are probably my favorite cookies i have ever made!
then, i decided to make a flourless gingersnap chocolate cake--a recipe i came across from a friend's food blog that everyone should check out here!
mr. p LOVED IT! i was so pleased with the outcome!
we also wrapped little packages for my niece and nephew :) it is so fun getting things in the mail so i couldn't wait for them to receive these!
i also made a heart garland complete with the personalized cheesy candy heart sayings :)
later, we had a babysitter {thanks rach!} and we hit the town for dinner then came home for chocolate fondue! it was delicious!!
and of course, i could not resist showing pictures of our sweet little valentine :) i can't get enough of her heart leg warmers!!
mr. p surprised me with flowers, and a few other goodies that i LOVE! i have been searching for girl scout cookies and could not find them anywhere, but he managed to bring some home to me today:)
and last but not least, since we celebrated saturday night, we watched our niece brooklyn while her parents went out for dinner. naomi is a little harder to pick up than brooklyn's dolls. this is such a priceless sequence of events.
