behind the scenes

there were many weeks, days, and hours of work that went into the garden party. that's part of the fun, right? here is a glimpse behind the scenes. 

it all started with the invites. 

then, i sewed little burlap bags for the kids favors. they were filled with bubbles and a little squirter toy

 

i used this this tutorial to create these ginormous flowers

we had to choose an outfit of course. which would you choose? we decided with option B because it was still pretty hot outside and thought the long sleeves would be too much.  

my flower picture helpers :) hannah is my organizational, get things done start to finish friend. 

needless to say, she helps me tons.

even my husband helped :) those big flowers were kind of a beast to hang.

sarah made the cake pops. she did an incredible job! she is my dreamer-we can make whatever we put our minds to-friend. 

we saw this little caterpillar and i thought it was super cute. 

so we figured out a way to make our own version.

 

tamara worked hard on perfecting it.

isn't it cute?! it was my favorite party decoration :)
