happy birthday, rachel!

so sorry my faithful blog followers! (all 3 of you!) i have really been slacking in the blog area. we have been celebrating birthdays, babysitting, gardening, traveling, dedicating, enjoying family in town...it's been BUSY! 

i have a LOT to catch up on! on march 13th, me and my friend, sarah, threw a bday bash for our friend rachel! we stayed up extremely late (3 am to be exact) perfecting cupcakes and making chili. it felt like the good ol' days of college dorm life!

all of the deliciously gross ingredients! rachel is a teacher so we decided to make "apple" cupcakes! to make the cupcakes taller, we cut powdered doughnuts in half, put them on top of the cupcake and then iced over them. we used tootsie rolls for the stems and sugar cookies for the leaves.
